I actually read this at the local library for free (does it get any better??).
Came over to Amazon to see what others thought about it and I am quite happy that other readers had the same success that I had. I’m a former 17 year smoker and quit all together by the time I finished the 2nd chapter of the book. The best part is realizing how effective the EASYWAY really is. Any slight twinge I felt would be welcomed as a healing pain. Carr describes this as a subtle restless, empty feeling. Tobacco companies have spent Hundreds of Millions of Dollars to CONVINCE you that quitting is hard, uncomfortable, and torture. My healing pains were very slight, short lived, and welcomed after I understood the mental score.
Now, when I see a smoker, I just feel for them and hope they find their way one day.
In addition to Carrs’ book, I supplimented with a semi-cheezy Bob Griswold self-hypnosis CD which I figured couldn’t hurt. Patches, gum, or Zyban did not work for me, this book helped me to understand why.
I no longer smoke and life is TRULY improved. I know it is scary to picture yourself as a non-smoker attending the usual smoking occassion (pubs, socializing, lunch breaks, relaxing, etc). But, trust me, you do not have to suffer a slow death to enjoy normal life. EVERYTHING is better without nicotine and tobacco, EVERYTHING.
Stop wasting life and order this book (better yet, go to the library and read it for free!!!)
Slow suffocation is a LOUSY way to go.
