If you have ever smoked, dipped, or chewed, this book is for you. You will see yourself in the countless examples the author gives. And then one day, you will close the book, and put out your last cigarette. Just like that.
I started smoking when I was around 14. My parents smoked, and so did all the rock stars and people I looked up to. Now at 31 and after trying to quit on and off since age 19, I thought I was going to spend the rest of my life feeling miserable about my inability to kick the “habit”. Most recently, in July 2008 – November 2008, feeling miserable the ENTIRE time and always thinking: Well, I guess if I’m going to feel miserable, I may as well smoke and be miserable. Is that backwards thinking or what? So, “the stress” got to me, and I started smoking again, before thanksgiving. Got the book in early January and read slowly. Smoked my last cigarette on Jan. 20, 2009. It is great to know I’ll never need to smoke again. The chains are off, thanks to Alan Carr. It is weird, but I feel like I have won the lottery. One where I was destined for a lifetime of failure in trying to fight a futile battle, but now have been given the opportunity to LIVE life outside of the bondage of cigarettes. It has taken 17 years to get to this point. But thank god-almighty, I’m free at last. Imagine if you are 21 and reading this? BUY.THE.BOOK.NOW.
This book totally changes your mindset about cigarettes. For instance – if you love cigarettes so much, why are you bothering to read this review? Why not continue to smoke if it is so wonderful. The truth is: you don’t love them. nicotine is a drug and a poisonous one at that. If cigarettes are so great, why don’t you smoke one after another? Because you would be sickened by the poison, that’s why. When I put out my last cigarette, it was all I could do to keep from throwing up, knowing the poison that I was inhaling, and realizing the thousands of times I had done so in the past. I’m just thankful that my son won’t be programmed by his parents like I was at an early age. Even though they quit, before I became hooked, cigarettes were are part of my life from day one. ACK!
As this book says when you start “reprogramming” your brain and getting the image of the Marlboro man out of your mind, you WILL find it easy to quit. Just like the book says.
For those of you who have had difficult times quitting in the past -
- no irritability or depression
- no increase in food intake (only a decent appetite, which is a good thing for young, otherwise healthy people)
- no constant dreaming of that next cigarette
- no smelling other peoples’ smoke and “enjoying” the scent
Now, stop reading this review and get this book in your cart. pay the overnight shipping if you can afford it. It can never be to late to get this horrible-ugly-smelly-expensive-strangling-POS-monkey off your back.
