OK so I’m only on day 2 and I too was very skeptical that it would work. I’m a 35 year smoker – about a pack a day for a number of those years and probably 7-8 cigs a day in the past year or two. I could always cut down, but never could get past 3 a day. The last time I probably tried to quit was in college 30 years ago. I too thought I was doomed to always be a smoker. But in the past year or so I’ve thought SO much and so often about quitting and how I just wish I could do it. I didn’t have faith in myself, didn’t trust I could do it. So I figured, why not read this and see? Funny thing is, I read it over the weekend, finished it Saturday afternoon, kept smoking Saturday night (figured I’d try the patch the next day), had my last smoke about 10:30 sat. night and the book was SO in my head that when I woke up Sunday I decided that’s it. Today I don’t smoke. And I didn’t – Sure it’s only Monday but I’ve never before had this much confidence that I can do it! I haven’t gone 35+ hours smoke free since I was probably a teenager! I’m very excited that this time it may actually work. No more standing outside in 20 below weather, no more stinky clothes, no more of any of that. I feel GOOD so far – yes, pangs, but like everyone else says, the book “arms” you to deal with it mentally. And I have my own word for the “little nicotine monster” that makes me laugh when I have to push away the pangs. Good stuff and I’d recommend this to EVERYONE! Oh and by the way I bought this months ago, put it in a drawer until I was ready and knew I had time to read this. So glad I did!
I read Allen Carr’s book “the easy way to stop smoking” 7 years ago and have not touched nor smoked a cigarette since I read the final page of Mr. Carr’s book. It’s hard to believe that just reading a book could be so effective but prior to reading this book, I had tried everything [full article...]
I was very skeptical about a book being able to help me quit smoking. I’ve smoked for over 20 years and have failed to quit 3 times previously. After reading the reviews (just like you are!) I decided to give it a shot. I can’t say it has been as “easy” as the book says [full article...]
I bought this book a year and a half ago with hopes of quitting easily, however it didn’t happen in my case. I still smoked and I wasn’t too happy. After burying the book in my room for a year I finally found the book again and begin reading again and this time I seriously [full article...]
I was very satisfied with the book. The “EasyWay Method” is not as groundbreaking as the author makes it out to be but the majority of the points made were very helpful in quitting smoking. The author’s method focuses on the mental difficulties we face when trying to quit smoking and he does a great [full article...]
